SFWAR provides support to assault survivors, their families and communities. It also provides education and organizing tools or prevention. They are an organization made up primarily of women of color and prioritize working with communities of color.
Internships are offered in a variety of areas including sexual assault survivor advocacy, counseling, community outreach, education and training, fundraising, and volunteer training.

The mission of the Clarence Foundation is to seek out innovative grassroots organizations that have been successful in the relief of poverty worldwide. They invest in these groups in order that they may reach more people in need. The foundation has five areas of interest that guide their funding decisions: children, education, health care, human rights and women.
Interns work directly with the Executive Director assisting with donor development activities or writing foundation grant proposals.

TIPP:
Bei der Auswahl des zukünftigen Gastlandes für das Auslandspraktikum solltet Ihr Euch vorher genauestens über dessen Kultur und Religion informieren. Gerade in vielen afrikanischen Ländern, in denen der Islam oft Staatsreligion ist, sollten sich vor allem die Studentinnen ein klares Bild über den Umgang mit Frauen und deren Stellung in der Gesellschaft verschaffen. Dabei ist anzumerken, dass es erhebliche Unterschiede von einem zum anderen Land geben kann. Vor allem die Religion des Landes kann den gesamten Tagesablauf beeinflussen (geschlechtlich getrennte Cafes, keine Diskotheken, veränderte Ladenöffnungszeiten, Gebetszeiten, Alkoholverbot, Nahrungsmittelangebot), die Ihr daher bereits vorher genau studieren solltet, um zu wissen, worauf Ihr Euch einlasst und was Euch erwartet.
In Ländern außerhalb Europas gelten oft ganz andere Rechtssysteme, je nach kulturellem und religiösem Hintergrund. Auch hierüber solltet Ihr Euch vorher informieren, um Enttäuschungen und bösen Überraschungen vorzubeugen. So ist es beispielsweise in islamischen Ländern verboten, mit andersgeschlechtlichen Personen eine Wohnung zu bewohnen (es sei denn, man ist verheiratet oder verwandt).
